AgentLane vs Stammer.ai: A Chatbot Builder or a Finished Agent? (October 2026)

Stammer.ai is a white-label builder for chat and voice agents across website, Instagram, WhatsApp and SMS. AgentLane runs a fixed catalog of finished agents at a capped price. Sourced, dated prices and where Stammer wins.

By AgentLane Founder · Founder

Stammer.ai sells agencies a white-label builder: you create chat and voice agents, train them on a client's content, and put them on a website, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp or SMS under your own brand and domain. AgentLane sells something narrower: finished agents that we run for you, starting with missed-call text-back over SMS, at a fixed seat price with a hard cap. One gives you a toolkit to build what you like. The other gives you an outcome you resell without building. Which is better depends on whether your agency wants to be in the agent-building business.

Price, side by side

Hard-capped executions, no overage charges
Billing your clients Clients pre-load a sub-account wallet; "100% of these funds gets sent to you" You invoice your clients. The portal tracks each client's retail price and gives a monthly retail-versus-cost statement; it moves no money

One client, list prices. Stammer Pro White Label is $99/mo plus that client's message and minute usage. AgentLane Launch is $149 + $99 = $248/mo, usage included up to the cap, plus SMS on your own Twilio account. At one or two clients Stammer is cheaper. The gap narrows as volume rises, because Stammer's usage grows with every message and AgentLane's seat does not, but we have not modelled a crossover we could defend, so we don't quote one.

Where Stammer wins

  • Channels. Website embed, Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and SMS, plus API and custom channels. AgentLane has SMS and email only: no website chat, no Instagram, no WhatsApp.
  • A builder. You create your own chat and voice agents and train them on a client's content (knowledge base add-on $5/mo per 1M characters). AgentLane has a fixed catalog; you cannot build your own.
  • Entry price. $99/mo for white-label against our $248/mo for one live client.
  • Your own domain. Stammer's white-label plan lists your own domain. On AgentLane, your logo and colours are on the client portal, but custom portal domains are not live, so the address is ours.
  • Clients pay you through the platform. The sub-account wallet collects usage from your clients. AgentLane does not collect money from your clients.
  • Voice and integrations. Stammer lists phone agents for inbound and outbound calls and integrations including GoHighLevel and Zapier. Our voice add-on is in controlled deployment.

Where AgentLane wins

  • No building, no prompt maintenance. Missed-call text-back is a code-defined workflow. When a call to your client's number is missed, it sends one AI-written SMS from that number and says a human will call back. You fill in the client's hours and services; we run it.
  • Rules in code, not in a prompt. Each catalog agent has a capability contract in your portal stating what it reads, what it may and may not do, how it fails and how it is billed. A caller who opted out is never texted, nothing is sent between 21:00 and 08:00 client time, and the first AI-written text carries an AI disclosure in English, French or Arabic that the client can reword but not remove. The contract also says which limits are only a prompt rule, so you know the difference.
  • A bill that doesn't move with volume. Launch, Professional and Scale are hard-capped with no overage charges. A spam-call storm stops at the cap instead of running up a message bill.
  • The phone, not the website. For a plumber or an HVAC company, the lead is often a missed call, not a website visitor. That is the case our one sold agent is built for.

What we don't claim

AgentLane is not a chatbot builder, not a CRM and not autonomous. It has no live website chat, Instagram or WhatsApp channel. US texting starts only after A2P 10DLC registration on your Twilio account, which usually takes one to three weeks. We publish no customer results yet.

The decision

If your agency wants to build chatbots for clients' websites and social inboxes, and charge for usage, Stammer is the better tool and it is cheaper to start. If your agency wants to resell one finished outcome (missed calls answered by text, under your brand, at a fixed monthly fee) without building or maintaining anything, AgentLane is built for that. See current pricing or read the missed-call text-back reference.

Frequently asked questions

Is Stammer.ai cheaper than AgentLane?
To start, yes. Stammer's Pro White Label plan is $99/mo with 5 chat and 5 voice agents, on its pricing page as of 2026-10-27; usage is billed per message and per voice minute on top. AgentLane's smallest setup is $149 platform + $99 per live agent-client = $248/mo for one client, with AI credits included and a hard cap. Stammer is cheaper at the entry point; AgentLane's bill does not move with message volume.
Does AgentLane have a website chat widget like Stammer?
No. AgentLane has no live website chat embed, and no Instagram, Messenger or WhatsApp channel. Its agents work over SMS and email. If your clients want a chatbot on their website trained on their content, Stammer is built for that and AgentLane is not.
Can my clients pay me directly for usage, like Stammer's sub-account wallet?
Not through AgentLane. AgentLane bills your agency; you invoice your clients. The portal records each client's retail price and gives you a monthly retail-versus-cost statement, but it does not take payments. Stammer's pricing page describes a sub-account wallet that clients pre-load, with the funds going to the agency.
Can I build my own agent on AgentLane?
Not yourself. AgentLane runs a fixed catalog of twelve pre-built agents; missed-call text-back is the one we sell today, and the others are switched on after we review a request. Stammer gives you a builder to create your own chat and voice agents.
